Community Roots
After university, I came to Clifford to help with the family business, where I became active as a community volunteer and was elected as a Municipal Councillor.
Over the years, I have served in leadership roles with many community organizations, including:
- Chair, Saugeen Country Tourist Association promoting Clifford
- Chair, Grey Bruce Tourist Association
- Tail Twister Clifford Lions Club, first woman in district to join
- Leader for Clifford Girl Guides Pathfinders and Brownies
- Board Member, Lynn Valley Trail Association
- President, Junior Achievement Sarnia
- Board Member, Junior Achievement of Canada
- Chair, Sarnia Lambton Environmental Association Community Relations Committee
- Member, Norfolk County Economic Development Committee
- Member, Simcoe Chamber of Commerce Energy Committee
More recently and closer to home, I have volunteered in Clifford and District Horticultural Society, Clifford Homecoming, and the Harriston Minto Agricultural Society, where I served as Secretary for the 2023 Fall Fair.
Today I continue to give back by writing for local newspapers, supporting Clifford Meals on Wheels, contributing to my church, and serving as a VON SMART exercise leader.
